Pictorial report of knitting a carpet with innovative and unique designing knitting tools, possessing the Flags of 195 countries by Paydar family.
Designer and producer : Jamaladin Toomajnia, Teymour Paydar.
One of the omot basic economic activities of Turkmen families is carpit-knitting. Turkmen Women were engaged in this business to assist and tackle economic difficulties they have for ages. Within families. They create and knit very beautiful patterns on the carpet to show their abilities and talents-they try to preserve these old-rooted traditions among Turkmen tribes and also share the economic expenses of their own families.

It's been for years that Turkmen carpets and handicrafts were passed on from generation to generation. In recent years we witnessed some innovations in using these original patterns in other home appliances to adopt and please the sense of their aestheticism.
Turkmen tribes were used to be nomads since they were farmers.
They had to create and make portable home appliances so that they can pack up and place them on animals when it comes to it.
Turkmen families were independent and self-sufficient in producing raw materials so they could make their own home appliances.
Turkmen people used wad, carpets and other handicrafts for making and covering the roof of Alcoves. At the present time Turkmen people are living in Turkmenistan and a region called Turkmen desert.
According to their talents and tastes and needs they made some innovative changes in their appliances. One of these latest innovations is the news of carpet possessing the flag of whole countries by some young Turkmen which was published in some magazines and broadcasted in some local channels. In this written report we talk to designer and producer of this great achievement, their motivations and the process of carpet-knitting tools.
The introduction of the work
This work of art made of Turkmen alcove's Lang strips (photographs)
Which is popular and deep-rooted in Turkmen culture. These long strips are knitted in flat models but we can find looped strips among other tribes and museums around the world.
This long-stripped carpet possesses the flay of 195 countries. It is 15 meters long and 52 cm wide. It is made of merinos yarns and silk with natural and herbal colors. The designer of this work is Mr.Teymour Paydar and it took 3 years to finish it.
Flays were knitted between two margin strips. The length of strip is 10 cm from the margin. The first knitted flay is Iran and Turkmenistan and the last knitted one is united nation flay. The out line of the margin is "Ghochogh and Galin Barmagh" there is a poetry knitted at the end of the traditional Turkmen red margin strips.
Of one essence is the human race
Thusly has creation put the base
One limb impacted is sufficient
For all others to feel the mace

Motivation : Along with the changes took place in the practice of Alcove strips in the past. The primary reason of designing this work is that the designer attempts to deliver the message of peace and friendship of Iranian people to the world. The secondary reason is that this symbolic work is also designed to serve to embellish the sites and buildings of international organizations.
The design of carpet – knitting tools:
The talented designer of this artistic work is Mr. Teymour Paydar. It is knitted (carpet) by two professional knitters sitting beak to front.
The starting point was in 2003/3/26. The first knitter started the First meter of this carpet. After that the second knitter had the chance of working along. they started knitting from the two opposite ends. they knitted the carpet on their spare time and they finish It on 22th of Bahman (may) 2006.
The designing and raw material cost us about 3600 us dollars.
It took a year to design a unique carpet – knitting tool for two Knitters who worked along with each other.
No official organizations supported us financially neither In designing nor in knitting
